WATCH: LSU unveils commemorative ‘Silent Season’ uniforms for Mississippi State game
In 1918, LSU did not field a football team due to World War I.
On Saturday, 100 years later, the Tigers are commemorating that “silent season” with a stylish new look.
LSU’s tweeted a video Thursday revealing the alternate uniforms its players will wear Saturday against Mississippi State. On top of unveiling the special gear in an awesome way, the video confirmed social media buzz from earlier this week about the uniforms.

LSU didn’t need much more swagger after its resounding 36-16 win against then-No. 2 Georgia last week, but this new look will almost certainly fire up the players even more against the Bulldogs. The No. 5 Tigers (6-1, 3-1 SEC) host No. 22 Mississippi State (4-2, 1-2) at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday.
