Will Baker, a Nevada transfer who is 7-foot and 245 pounds, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Baker, a graduate transfer who originally began his career at Texas, committed to LSU. He’ll look to be a key piece in the rebuild of the Tigers who finished the 2022-23 season 14th in the SEC with an overall record of 14-19.

Baker at Nevada started 32 games this past season, and was an All-Mountain West Third Team selection.

He averaged 13.6 points per game on 56% shooting from the field, 35.5% from behind the arc, and 84.2% at the free throw line, as well as 5.2 rebounds per game. His season field goal percentage ranks as the eighth-best for a season in program history. Baker reached double figures in scoring in 22 of 32 games.

Baker was a mid-year transfer during the 2020-21 season from Texas after he played in 23 games.

Coming out of high school, Baker was ranked as the No. 36 overall prospect by 247Sports.
