The LSU Tigers had an interesting week, beating Kentucky in Lexington and then watching as the Wildcats beat Tennessee.

Now, the Tigers are tied for first place in the SEC regular-season standings, with them and the Vols both sporting 11-1 conference records with six games remaining.

On Monday, coach Will Wade spoke with the media and said the topic of winning the regular-season title has come up, but added that the Tigers continue to focus on the process instead of the destination (via 247Sports):

“We haven’t really talked about it that much. We’ve talked more about the ingredients that go into what would become winning the SEC, but our guys are certainly aware of things and where things stand,” Wade said on Monday’s coaches teleconference. “We spend a lot more time talking about what we need to do and the business we need to handle to put ourselves in position over these next six games.”

LSU has a big opportunity this week, as the Vols come to town on Saturday night. That game will be for first place in the SEC standings if both teams take care of business in their midweek games.

Whatever happens, LSU is playing well, so the finish to the regular season should be fun to watch.
