Will Wade goes off on referees after LSU's 85-80 win over South Carolina
The LSU Tigers managed to improve to 10-2 overall (and 5-1 in SEC play) on Saturday night, taking down South Carolina 85-80.
But, it wasn’t easy, as the Gamecocks led for much of the game until the tides turned late in the second half.
After the game, coach Will Wade voiced his displeasure with the referees. As you can see in the clip below, he seemed to have some choice words for the crew as they made their way off the court:

What Wade was so upset about is unclear, as LSU had a free-throw advantage throughout the game, particularly late in the second half.
But, the important thing, which he acknowledged in his postgame press conference, is that the Tigers got the win. Now, they’ll try to put together a better game when they host Alabama on Tuesday night.
Basketball is the one major sport where a call or two from the refs down the stretch can and do determine the winner of the game.
Let me suggest to you the Mizzou/KY football game a few seasons ago, or the Rams/Saints 2019 NFC Championship game, or heck a couple of Auburn football games this year. Football is no different, any game in any sport where the score is tight toward the end can be determined by a referee calls.
That Arkansas/Auburn game still raises a lot of eyebrows. I was thinking…this cannot be right. Auburn di get their share of calls in 2020.
Auburn got two notable calls that went for us, and of course that is all anyone will remember, but we had a lot of calls go against us including TD’s called back. I’d say it evened out.
The Saints lack of a pass interference call is still shocking to me. The explanation was just as bad.
He probably gave them a “strong ass” offer before the game and they refused. LSU struggled and he was ticked off that fair play almost cost them a game.
The fact this cheater is on the sidelines, should be embarrassing to lsu.
Well when they can cover up rape, doesn’t get much lower and a POS like Wade is just the cherry on top.
Guarantee they’ll try to drag this rape investigation out and hope it fades away. Dirtiest program in the SEC.
Yes, the television folks showed the Tiger coach continuing his verbal attack on the referee well after the game ended. They also showed the interim coach for South Carolina seeking Wade out to shake his hand and yet there was no team leader there to confirm the gesture with a handshake. Excellent role model.
