The tables sure have turned quickly in Baton Rouge as Will Wade has been reinstated at LSU and the latest report from the Bayou is that Joe Alleva plans to step down at the school.

It was announced late Sunday evening in the most epic news dump we’ve seen in 2019 that Wade had been reinstated at LSU and now the Baton Rouge Business Report is reporting that Joe Alleva plans to step down this week. LSU has apparently declined to comment on the subject.

Alleva has been the AD in Baton Rouge dating back to 2008 after previously serving as Duke’s AD. Under his leadership, LSU decided to keep Les Miles after fans rallied to the coach’s support at the conclusion of the 2015 season. Four games into the 2016 season, Alleva fired Miles and replaced him with interim coach Ed Orgeron. After failed attempts to hire Jimbo Fisher and Tom Herman, Alleva promoted Orgeron to full-time coach in Baton Rouge.
