Will Wade shares update on Xavier Pinson after injury against Tennessee
Will Wade and the LSU Tigers improved to 14-1 on the season with an impressive home win over Tennessee on Saturday evening.
But, there was a scary moment toward the end of the game, as point guard Xavier Pinson slipped and went down in a lot of pain during a fast break.
Many fans feared the worst, but after the game, Wade shared some relatively good news. While Pinson did suffer a knee injury, Wade said it “appears to be just a knee sprain”:
Will Wade says "it appears to be just a knee sprain" with Xavier Pinson.
They'll get it looked at tomorrow again to be sure.
"Best case scenario. Will be a matter of days to a week" is the projection.

Obviously, it could have been a lot worse for Pinson (torn ACL, MCL, etc.). But, if he’s able to return in a week, that’s great news for the Tigers.
LSU plays at Florida on Wednesday night and hosts Arkansas on Saturday. We’ll see if Pinson is able to return for that Saturday showdown against the Hogs.
