Maryland WR Dontay Demus suffers gruesome leg injury against Iowa

A Maryland wide receiver had to be carted off the field in Friday night’s game against No. 5 Iowa after suffering a gruesome leg injury.
Dontay Demus Jr. was returning a kickoff when his leg got twisted badly while trying to break a tackle in the second quarter.

Unfortunately for Maryland, it was also ruled Demus fumbled on the play. The turnover set up a Hawkeye touchdown, extending their lead to 17-7. Iowa leads 34-7 at the half.
While being carted off, Demus could be seen saying, “I’m coming back.”
“I’m coming back.”

Hopefully, we’ll see Demus back on the field. Though, with that injury, he’ll likely be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
