Kamren Kinchens, a former Miami defensive back and a third-round pick for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 NFL Draft, had the biggest play of his young professional career on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
It happened early in the fourth quarter with the game tied at 13-13 and the Seahawks driving for a possible go-ahead score. But with the Seahawks facing a 1st and goal from the Rams’ 6, Geno Smith threw it into the end zone but right into the arms of Kinchens.
Kinchens did the rest, hustling down the field and taking it 103 yards for the touchdown. It was the longest play of the NFL season.
Here’s video of Kinchens’ pick-6, the first interception of his NFL career:

In 3 seasons with Miami, Kinchens was a ball hawk, totaling 6 interceptions in 2022 and 5 in 2023 en route to back-to-back All-ACC first-team honors. He also had 2 pick-6s with the Hurricanes.
Through 7 games, Kinchens had been credited with 14 tackles but no interceptions, but that changed against the Seahawks.
Ultimately, Seattle did tie the game with less than a minute remaining, but the Rams got the last laugh in overtime, winning 26-20 on Matthew Stafford’s 39-yard touchdown pass to Demarcus Robinson. The Rams improved to 4-4 with the victory.
