Mario Cristobal is still the coach at Oregon, and Manny Diaz is still at Miami, but that may be changing, according to multiple reports.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald has reported that Cristobal and Miami are in the late stages of a deal that would pay him in range of $8 million a year for more than 5 years.

Jackson on Friday reported that Miami would make a run at Cristobal, and Oregon also reportedly extended a new contract extension to the Ducks coach.

Cristobal is 35-12 in his fifth season with the Ducks, including a 10-2 record this year which was highlighted by a win at Ohio State. Cristobal previously was the head coach at Florida International, and was the Alabama offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for 4 seasons (2013-16) at Alabama as the assistant head coach.

Cristobal is a native of Miami and graduated from Miami in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and later earned a master’s degree from Miami in 2001. Cristobal returned to his alma mater in 2004 to coach 3 seasons under Larry Coker before the FIU job.
