Jim Harbaugh on Michigan-Michigan State tunnel scuffle: ‘Two of our players were assaulted’

Jim Harbaugh and Michigan cruised to a rivalry game win over Michigan State on Saturday night, but the victory wasn’t without some drama.
The tunnel at the Big House seems to cause a lot of problems, as Michigan and Penn State players got into a scuffle a couple of weeks ago.
Well, this time around things got even dicier. As you can see below, Michigan State players appear to team up on a Michigan player, punching and kicking and shoving him after the game:

Eventually, Harbaugh and others helped to restore order:

Still, in his postgame press conference, Harbaugh wasn’t happy. He said he was going to let AD Warde Manuel and the authorities deal with the aftermath of the situation:
Jim Harbaugh says of the postgame fight:
"Two of our players were assaulted. I saw the one video, it's 10-on-one. Pretty bad. I'm going to let our Athletic Director, Warde Manuel, address it with the authorities."

Manuel then said he has already spoken with Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren and local law enforcement:
Michigan AD Warde Manuel spoke at Jim Harbaugh's press conference and gave a long, angry statement. Manuel says he spoke with Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren (here tonight) and with local law enforcement and will let them handle it.
"It is completely and utterly unacceptable." https://t.co/kXjxX22VNa

It was an ugly situation, to be sure. Perhaps changes are coming to Michigan’s shared tunnel experience in the future.
