According to FootballScoop, coach Joe Moorhead has added another member to his staff who will serve as a recruiting specialist. A source on Monday reported that Brandon Tate would be joining Moorhead for his first season in Starkville.

Brandon Tate, a Mississippi native, played his college football at West Virginia and after graduating, returned as a graduate assistant for the Mountaineers. Tate also has experience as a strength and conditioning coach at Marshall University and as the head football coach at Tazewell High School.

Tate adds to the growing Southern influence on Moorhead’s first Mississippi State staff which should help the program recruit inside the state’s borders. Tate was a two-time All-State receiver at Noxubee County High School in Mississippi before landing a scholarship with the Mountaineers. He earned Mr. Football and Mr. Basketball honors during his high school career at Noxubee.
