Dak Prescott lands record NFL deal in extension with Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott has a new deal, and it’s a record-breaking contract.
Ahead of the Dallas Cowboys’ season-opener, Prescott has agreed to a new 4-year deal worth a record $60 million annually. Prescott’s $240 million deal comes with $231 million guaranteed.
Prescott is cashing in after other recent megadeals for QBs that generated over $50 million per season.

Prescott turned 31 in July. He has been the Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback since 2016, the year he was selected No. 135 overall in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.
The former Mississippi State standout is coming off one of his best professional seasons. Last season, Prescott completed a career-high 69.5% of his passes (410-of-590) for 4,516 yards and 36 touchdowns. He finished with single-digit interceptions for the first time in a full season of action since 2018.
Prescott made the Pro Bowl for the third time in his career last season and was named second-team All-Pro for the first time.
The Dallas Cowboys begin the 2024 season on the road against the Cleveland Browns. The game is set for 4:25 p.m. ET, airing on FOX.
