Dak Prescott is expected to miss multiple weeks for the Dallas Cowboys following a hamstring injury he suffered Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Prescott, a former Mississippi State quarterback and one of the top QBs in the NFL entering this season, has struggled to live up to expectations this year. The former Bulldog has thrown for 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, leading the Cowboys to a lowly 3-5 record with 3 straight losses.

The problems definitely don’t start with Prescott, but his play has not been able to counteract the Cowboys’ defensive woes.

Prescott will be getting a second opinion on his hamstring injury, but the fact of the matter is that it’s worse than Dallas originally expected it to be. And with how the Cowboys have played so far this season, it digs a big-time hole for one of the most popular franchises in America.

Dallas will now turn to backup Cooper Rush, who has seen time at the helm of the offense before – most notably in 2022 when he threw for 1,051 yards with 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions across 9 contests.

Dallas is back in action on Sunday against the rival Philadelphia Eagles.
