NFL Live and SEC Nation host Laura Rutledge gave her take on which quarterbacks will make it to the next level. She mentioned Mississippi State starter Will Rogers as a possible draft candidate who may be quietly getting looks.

Per Stefan Krajisnik of the Clarion-Ledger:

“He’s probably getting a little bit more NFL attention than people are talking about because so much of the focus is on some of these other quarterbacks,” Rutledge told Krajisnik.

Rogers leads the SEC in total yards and leads the nation in touchdowns. Under head coach Mike Leach, Rogers has thrived in his air-raid offense and getting better with each game. Last week, he was able to throw for 3 touchdowns and 329 yards against A&M resulting in a 42-24 victory.

A lot of this year’s preseason was spent talking about the NFL Draft projections for quarterbacks Bryce Young, Will Levis and Anthony Richardson but very few mentioned Will Rogers. Rutledge believes that if Rogers continues to play “mistake-free football” he’ll get his chance to play professionally.
