It’s been a tough stretch for Mississippi State on the recruiting trail in recent days.

On Friday, 3-star tackle Cam East announced on Twitter that he has decommitted from the Bulldogs. He became the 3rd recruit to decommit from Mississippi State in a span of 3 days, as he followed the actions of 3-star safeties Kylon Griffin and Jourdan Thomas, each of whom decommitted on Wednesday.

East had been committed to Mississippi State since June 28. He took an official visit in September, but he’s also been to other schools around the SEC this year, including Ole Miss and Arkansas.

East currently attends St. Augustine High School in New Orleans. He is the No. 49 tackle in the 2022 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 29 recruit from Louisiana.

It’s possible that East could be considering flipping to Ole Miss. He visited the school last month, and he received an in-home visit from Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin last weekend, according to On3’s Keegan Pope.

Following the decommitment news, 2 247Sports Crystal Ball experts predicted that East will end up committing to Ole Miss.
