Rodney Groce Jr. has found his new home.

The former Mississippi State linebacker is headed west to play for Herm Edwards and the Arizona State Sun Devils. Groce announced the news on Twitter Monday afternoon.

Groce entered the transfer portal on Nov. 2. A 6-foot-2 linebacker from Alabama, Groce spent 2 seasons at Mississippi State. Originally committed to Nebraska before flipping near the end of the 2020 cycle, Groce appeared sporadically for the Bulldogs and never recorded a stat.

As a recruit, he was a 3-star linebacker prospect and the 24th-ranked player from the state of Alabama. He was rated as the 29th-best at his position and No. 562 overall in his class, per the 247Sports Composite.
