Former Tennessee QB Peyton Manning will host this year’s ESPY awards ceremony, which will air on ABC on July 12.

The NFL legend may be presenting an award to his fellow SEC alum, as ex-Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott has been nominated for an award.

According to the ESPYs website, Prescott is nominated for the “Best Breakthrough Athlete” of the year, alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, gymnast Laurie Hernandez and Christian Pulisic of the U.S. men’s national soccer team.

Prescott threw for 3,667 yards and 23 touchdowns to go with only four interceptions as a rookie for the Dallas Cowboys last year. Taking over for injured starter Tony Romo before the season, Prescott led the Cowboys to an impressive 13-3 regular-season record before they lost to the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs.

As a side note, it’s probably best for Alabama fans to avoid the ESPYs this year, as the Clemson Tigers are nominated for several awards after taking down the Crimson Tide in the national championship game.
