Former Mississippi State QB target decommits from Florida State
A former Mississippi State target is officially back on the market.
Chris Parson, a 4-star quarterback and the No. 7 overall prospect from the state of Tennessee, decommitted from Florida State Tuesday, per his official twitter account.
“Florida State has been my favorite school since I was a little kid,” Parson wrote in the post. “I spent a lot of time imagining myself wearing the uniform, but the reality of needing to be in the best place that suits me for my college career has led me to look elsewhere. I wish Coach Norvell and the Seminoles the best moving forward, but I am decommitting from Florida State and reopening my recruitment.”
Parson committed to Florida State over Mississippi State and SMU in July of 2021. The Bulldogs still lack a quarterback commitment for the 2023 class and could use Parson’s athletic ability in head coach Mike Leach’s air raid offense moving forward.
Parson is considered to be the No. 16 quarterback in the country and the No. 328 prospect nationally.
Well makes sense .. why would this kid want to go to fsu as it looks like with conference realignment fsu will be begging for a new home soon
How does it look like that? All the ACC schools are pretty locked in contractually.
You know what – contracts are like hearts, they are made to be broken.”……Ray Kroc
Neither are made to be broken.
The court fight would last longer than his eligibility.
Smart kid.
Former MSU target? Uh he’s gonna be committing to us here soon.
Right? Lol SDS can’t get nothing right. They have been hot on him this whole time. That’s why he’s decommiting and not to mention his buddy just transferred to state as well who use to be the #1 safety in the country when he was in high school
And, that’s why you do the Leach extension.
Once again a high school shows what a ‘commitment’ really is. Hope he is happy wherever he lands.
He might not come to State, but for those that questioned the Leach extension this is why you do it.
So our fans on here question his extension?
Some did.
Might be a good sign for the MSU. Good luck, fellas.
