One former Penn State RB and a 4-star prospect from the 2020 recruiting class is reportedly joining Mississippi State.

According to Paul Jones with 247 Sports, Keyvone Lee officially started classes at Mississippi State on Tuesday. Lee was a 4-star prospect out of Clearwater, Florida and the No. 22 RB nationally in the 2020 recruiting cycle per the 247 Sports Composite.

Lee becomes the 10th transfer commitment for head coach Zach Arnett this cycle. He joins TEs Geor’quarius Spivey (TCU) and Ryland Goede (Georgia), WR Freddie Roberson (Eastern Washington) and QB Mike Wright (Vanderbilt).

Lee was productive during his time with the Nittany Lions, rushing for 1,062 yards and 6 touchdowns in 3 seasons while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Unfortunately, he was bypassed on the depth chart in 2022 by dynamic freshmen Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen.

After just 28 touches a season ago, Lee hit the transfer portal in January. He has 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.
