No one is more familiar with what Mike Leach’s Air Raid offense can do for your career than Gardner Minshew II.

Minshew parlayed one huge season under Leach at Washington State into a job with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, he’s the team’s starting quarterback, going from draft afterthought to potentially a top-20 NFL quarterback.

Leach is now at Mississippi State, and after the Bulldogs pulled off the upset of No. 6 LSU on Saturday, Minshew said he’s excited to see his former coach having success in the SEC:

“I got to watch the game,” Minshew said. “It was awesome. I’m super happy. I know that coaching staff very well. It’s the school where both my sisters go. I was pumped to see them, man. I know (Mississippi State QB) KJ (Costello) personally, so I was super happy for him. That was a big win. To me it’s the best offense, the best offensive system in college football. To see it in the SEC finally is exciting.”

Will the Bulldogs continue to surprise teams and rack up wins? We’ll see how they fare against Arkansas this weekend.
