Greg Knox shared his thoughts on what he has seen out of Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Knox, the interim head coach for Mississippi State, was very complimentary of Dart ahead of their matchup in the Egg Bowl.

“He’s confident. I watch a confident guy throwing it. I’ve been watching him all year,” Knox said. “This game has been targeted on the calendar all year long, there’s been a pin on this game all year long. I’ve kinda watched him throughout the season, he’s very confident in what he’s doing. He plays with a sense of maturity. He throws the ball well, he knows where he wants to go with it. He’s the complete package. When the protection breaks down he can run. I like his style, I like his attitude. I think he’s doing a really good job for them, he is the key to their offense.”

Dart has started all 11 games for Ole Miss this season leading them to a 9-2 record on the season. The junior quarterback for the Rebels has completed 194-of-292 passes this season for 2889 yards while adding 19 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. He’s also added 345 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns on 103 carries.

Ole Miss and Mississippi State have split the last 8 meetings in the series, with the Bulldogs winning the most recent game in 2022 by a score of 24-22 in Oxford.

Mississippi State hosts Ole Miss on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
