Handful of players out for Mississippi State's spring game
Mississippi State will host its annual Maroon-White spring game today at 12 p.m. ET, but it will be without five players due to injury and other precautionary measures.
Assistant athletic director of Media Relations Bill Martin updated the list on Saturday morning:
The following won't play today (injury, precautionary): Fred Ross, Donald Gray, Dez Harris, J.T. Gray, Traver Jung. #SBW16 #HailState

Two of the five players being held from today’s spring game were in Mississippi State’s starting lineup in 2015: wide receiver Fred Ross and linebacker J.T. Gray. Ross led the team with 88 receptions for 1,007 yards and five touchdowns last season, while Gray compiled 62 tackles (3.5 for loss) and 1.5 sacks.
