Auburn defeated Mississippi State, 38-14, on Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium. The Tigers jumped out to a 35-0 lead at halftime, which was too much for the Bulldogs to overcome.

Mississippi State was held to 186 passing and 103 rushing yards and went 6 of 16 on third down attempts. Auburn’s offense recorded 432 total yards including 204 passing and 228 rushing.

The Bulldogs had three turnovers including two fumbles lost and one interception thrown by quarterback Nick Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick also recorded 181 yards and two touchdowns on 17 of 34 passing.
