Joe Moorhead and company started the week off with a bang as the Mississippi State football program just added a commitment from a prospect that jumps to the front of the Hail State class.

Atlanta native Jo’Quavious Marks announced he has committed to Mississippi State over scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn and Arkansas among many others. The four-star recruit is rated as the nation’s No. 14 overall running back and a top 200 prospect in the nation for the 2020 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Marks commitment gives Mississippi State 12 commitments for the 2020 recruiting cycle and provides a real spark for a class that already ranks among the top 20 in the nation up to this point. The four-star running back is now the highest-ranked prospect in the program’s 2020 recruiting class.

He announced his commitment to Hail State with the following message on Twitter:

“First and foremost, I want to thank God I’m thankful for everything and I’ve been dreaming about this moment since I was a little kid. I want to thank my family, my teammates and my coaches for supporting me. I want to thank the trainers for all the things they have did [sic] for me. I want to thank every coach that recruited me. With that being said, I am committed to Mississippi State University #hailstate”

Marks also posted the following video to announce his decision to play for Mississippi State.
