Mississippi State took some time, but they are finally moving the ball with consistency in the early stages of the 2nd half.

Don’t look now, but Mississippi State is down just 16 points after falling behind 41-10. It all started with a 30-yard touchdown scamper from Kevin Coleman Jr. This play was reviewed but it was determined Coleman was able to stay in bounds and keep his knee off the ground long enough on the extension.

Soon after, the Bulldogs intercepted Arkansas QB Taylen Green and were back in the end zone just a few plays later. Following a successful 2-point conversion the score is now 41-25 with 3:42 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

The real issue for Mississippi State is a comeback is to be entertained is the defensive side of the ball. Arkansas has moved the rock with ease so far on Saturday, and QB Taylen Green has been the catalyst. Green, a Boise State transfer, is sitting at 20/25 passing for 290 yards and 4 touchdowns. He’s also rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown.

Can Mississippi State make things interesting? First, they have to stop the ball.
