No. 14 Mississippi State kicks off SEC play with a matchup against Kentucky in Lexington on Saturday, and it should be a good one.

While the Bulldogs have run through all three opponents they have faced thus far, Kentucky already has an SEC win under its belt, a 27-16 victory over Florida in “the Swamp” that snapped a 31-year losing streak.

This Kentucky team has already proven that it is different from past teams, and the Wildcats arguably one of the hottest teams in the SEC.

On Thursday, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit sat down on “Herbstreit and Fitzsimmons” to predict various games in Week 4.

Here’s what he said about the Mississippi State-Kentucky matchup:

“I like this Kentucky team — I really do. This game is close, very very close, and I think that Mississippi State will do just enough to be able to win it. But it’s not going to be as easy as you think,” said Herbstreit.

The Bulldogs will be looking to kick off conference play in a big way on Saturday, but it might not be as easy as you expect on the road against the newly-inspired Wildcats.
