Mississippi State is seeing a rise in players entering the transfer portal. The Bulldogs have seen the quarterback and wide receiver position grow thin in recent days with the news of Garrett Shrader and Jalen Mayden reportedly leaving the program to enter the transfer portal.

Now a backup offensive lineman is in the mix. Nick Pendley is looking to transfer from MSU. He even tweeted about it.

“I want to say thank you to Mississippi State University for the opportunity you gave me. I would also like to thank the coaches, teammates, and especially the Entire HailState Nation For embracing me as one of your own. And finally I would like to thank all of the lifelong friends I’ve made during my time in Starkville. As of today I am officially entering the NCAA transfer portal my recruiting is 100% open. Thank you for respecting my decision.”

The Canton, Georgia (Creekview) native, who is 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, played in one game last year, and ultimately redshirted. This season, Pendley had played in all four games on special teams. He was a 3-star recruit coming out of high school, and was ranked the No. 74 prospect in Georgia by 247Sports.
