Memphis WR weighs in on being double-digit underdogs to Mississippi State
Mississippi State opens its 2022 season with a home game Saturday night against Memphis.
A year ago, the Tigers beat the Bulldogs, 31-29.
Heading into Saturday’s game, however, Memphis finds itself currently as a 16-point underdog.
Certainly, these aren’t the same two teams that met last September, and the game will be played in Starkville as opposed to Memphis.
That said, Tigers receiver Eddie Lewis expressed a level of a surprise when he was informed about the point spread.
““Double digits? That’s tough,” Lewis said. “It’s an SEC team. That’s expected. We’re Group of 5. I mean I don’t pay attention to politics, bro. It’s all what goes on between them 4 lines, so that’s all I care about.”
