Mississippi State put together a dominating win over Kentucky in Starkville on Saturday night, 31-17.

The Bulldogs, who improved to 5-3 with the victory, fell behind 10-0 before scoring 31 unanswered points to take control of the game.

While MSU coach Mike Leach was pleased with most everything that took place, he did have an issue with something he felt the Wildcats defense was doing throughout the game.

“Yeah, they were simulating our snap count, you know,” Leach said. “If folks can get away with that we gotta start coaching it.”

If Kentucky was simulating Mississippi State’s snap count, which is a rules violation, it didn’t seem to help much.

Bulldogs quarterback Will Rogers completed 36-of-39 passes for 344 yards in the game. His 92.3 completion percentage broke the single-game SEC record, and the Bulldogs racked up 438 yards of offense in the game.
