Bowl season is almost upon us, and every school participating in a bowl game this winter is coming out with apparel for fans to commemorate the occasion.

Unfortunately for one clothing vendor, a mishap involving a Mississippi State Orange Bowl T-shirt has left football fans in the Magnolia State both confused and disappointed.

The college apparel website Campusbookmart.net released a T-shirt this week in advance of the Bulldogs bowl game donning the slogan “This is our Grove.”

As most of you know, the Gove is a popular tailgating spot during football season in Mississippi. But what the vendor clearly didn’t realize is that the Grove is a popular Ole Miss tailgating site. The Mississippi State tailgating spot the site was looking for is, of course, the Junction.

Take a look at the shirt for yourself:

There are a few different misunderstandings that might have led to the T-shirt faux-pas.

Perhaps the vendor was trying to make a play on words regarding an orange grove in honor of MSU’s Orange Bowl invite. That would certainly fall in line with a play on the popular Mississippi State slogan “This is our State.”

Perhaps it simply got the Grove and the Junction confused.

Regardless, it’s safe to say there won’t be many of these T-shirts on display in the stands at Miami’s Sunlife Stadium when Mississippi State takes the field against Georgia Tech.
