Jeff Lebby continues to fill out his staff at Mississippi State. Corey Bell, most recently with Tom Herman at Florida Atlantic, has joined the Bulldogs as cornerbacks coach, MSU announced.

Bell spent a season on the FAU staff and before that coached CBs at FIU, also serving as recruiting coordinator for Mike McIntyre. He also has stops at Florida, UCF, and USF, and was with the UCF program while Lebby served as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator in 2018 and 2019.

Bell also brings plenty of experience in the high school coaching ranks in the Sunshine State: he was the head coach at Miami (Fla.) Edison for a decade and later spent 3 seasons at American Senior HS in Hialeah.

The Bulldogs were 5-7 (1-7 SEC), parting ways with Zach Arnett with 2 games remaining. Greg Knox took the reins on an interim basis and went 1-1.

MSU then turned to Lebby, looking to return to the offensive-minded approach the program employed under Mike Leach.
