According to The Reflector, Mississippi State’s school newspaper, the Bully statue located in the Junction was vandalized this weekend.

The statue was defaced with red graffiti paint with the phrase “Woo Pig” and the date “11/7”. The vandalism reportedly took place between late Friday night and early Saturday morning, according to MSUPD.

“The incident remains under investigation,” MSU Chief Communications Office Sid Salter said. “The university does consider this type of intentional damage a serious crime. While this type of thing has happened in prior years, this is the first incident of vandalism in some time.”

Mississippi State, of course, plays Arkansas on November 17.

If indeed the perpetrator was an Arkansas fan, he/she obviously did it before the Hogs’ embarrassing loss to Colorado State Saturday. The Hogs look like no match for MSU.

This isn’t the first time vandalism has struck MSU. Two years ago, someone vandalized Davis Wade Stadium with Ole Miss graffiti.

If anyone has any information about this incident, they are to call 662-325-2121.
