WR Johnquarise Patterson’s attempts to get to Mississippi State have been lengthy and have led to a lot of travel.
After committing to Mississippi State, decommitting and then committing again during the 2018 cycle, Patterson ultimately signed with the Bulldogs. However, he was forced to go the JUCO route this fall, playing for Jones County Community College.
Now, though, it appears the 2020 receiver will play his sophomore year somewhere else, announcing via Twitter on Tuesday that he would play next season at East Mississippi Community College:

For now, Patterson is still committed to Mississippi State, but he still has another year of JUCO before he can head to Starkville.
We’ll see how his year at EMCC goes as he continues his quest to play for the Bulldogs.
