Ben Howland’s program added a commitment to its 2022 class with a pledge from Riley Kugel, a combo guard out of Orlando, who made his announcement on Sunday.

Kugel is listed at 6-foot-4 and 175 pounds, and has a reported 12 offers. He’s rated the No. 22 player in the state of Florida, and the No. 26 combo guard in America, according to 247Sports. He is the second commitment in the class, and the commitment came after an official visit to Starkville, Gene’s Page reported.

He chose State over the likes of Auburn, Miami, Houston and Florida Gulf Coast.

“I like the way they develop players at Mississippi State,” Kugel said. “Their program and development shows how much they care about their players. You can tell they love developing players on and off the court.”

Korey McCray was listed as his primary recruiter.
