According to a report from Paul Jones of 247Sports, Mississippi State landed a commitment from JUCO defensive back Jaquarius Landrews Wednesday night.

Landrews currently attends Copiah-Lincoln C.C. in Wesson, Mississippi, and he currently has no star rating. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, and he could play safety or cornerback for the Bulldogs.

“I started really liking Mississippi State my 9th grade year,” Landrews told 247Sports. “Mississippi State was the first school I ever went to for a camp. That environment there is great and everyone is so cool down there. Plus, it’s my home state and that means so much to me. It is home for me and I want to represent my state and be a Bulldog.”

In 2015 as a JUCO freshman, Landrews made 15 tackles, two INTs and eight pass breakups.

He became the Bulldogs’ 21st commitment in the class of 2017.
