Mississippi State loses starting OL to transfer portal, former 4-star prospect
Mississippi State suffered a loss along the offensive line Wednesday afternoon.
Peyton Lewis, a former 4-star prospect in the Class of 2020, has entered the transfer portal after 2 seasons in Starkville. The former JUCO standout made 8 starts across his 25 appearances with the Bulldogs, 7 of which came this past season. Most of those appearance for MSU came at left tackle.
He took home All-SEC Honorable Mention honors from College Football Network for his play in 2023.

The Bulldogs have lost a lot to the portal, including now 2 players off the offensive line. Lewis enters the portal after IOL Steven Losoya entered and since committed to Vanderbilt.
Mississippi State has added some talent out of the portal to bolster those numbers lost. Former North Texas IOL Ethan Miner and former Memphis OT Makylan Pounders are both set to join the Bulldogs next season.
