Class of 2018 RB Fabian Franklin has been committed to Mississippi State since late July, but now that has changed.

The 4-star back is at the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star game and said he is no longer committed to the Bulldogs and is now pledged to the TCU Horned Frogs.

That’s a big blow to the Bulldogs and new coach Joe Moorhead, as Franklin was the third-highest rated player in Mississippi State’s 2018 class:

He’s not following former coach Dan Mullen to Florida, instead choosing to flip to the Big 12 school.

According to the 247Sports composite, Franklin is the No. 14 running back in the class of 2018 and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of Mississippi.

Moorhead will have his work cut out for him if he wants to keep the rest of Mississippi State’s 2018 class intact. With Franklin, the Bulldogs had the No. 7 class in the SEC and the No. 18 class nationally (per 247Sports), but that’s likely to change now.
