The Mississippi State Bulldogs are going to be an interesting squad in 2021-22. On Monday, they landed a commitment from Memphis transfer DJ Jeffries, who averaged 10.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game during his time at Memphis.

On Monday night, the Bulldogs announced the signing of North Carolina transfer big man Garrison Brooks, the preseason ACC Player of the Year last season.

As you can see below, the Bulldogs made the signing official and tweeted about it on Monday night:

Brooks averaged 10.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists for the Tar Heels while playing in 28 games and making 25 starts this past season. He didn’t live up to preseason expectations, but he still had a solid year.

The Alabama native will play closer to home in 2021-22. And now, all of a sudden, Ben Howland’s team looks really intriguing.
