After jumping up in the final College Football Playoff rankings, the Mississippi State Bulldogs will play Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31.

The Bulldogs’ move up the standings is somewhat of a surprise, as the Bulldogs leapt up three spots in the CFP committee’s final rankings despite not playing. They jumped over Kansas State and Arizona, both of which lost over the weekend, as well as Michigan State, which was idle.
