Coming off a big win in the Egg Bowl, the Mississippi State Bulldogs have been doing well on the recruiting trails.
That momentum continued on Tuesday, when 3-star 2019 RB Lee Witherspoon out of Alabama announced he’d be playing for coach Joe Moorhead’s squad next season.
Per a 247Sports report, Witherspoon announced his commitment during a visit with MSU assistant Charles Huff on Tuesday.
According to the 247Sports composite, Witherspoon is the No. 70 running back in the class of 2019 and the No. 41 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.
With Witherspoon’s commitment, the Bulldogs now have 22 players in their 2019 class, which currently ranks No. 9 in the SEC and No. 19 nationally, per 247Sports.
