Mississippi State picks up commitment from 4-star 2021 QB out of Texas

Mike Leach has wasted absolutely no time since he was hired at Mississippi State when it comes to replenishing the quarterback room.

On Tuesday night, the Bulldogs made a huge addition to their 2021 recruiting class, landing a commitment from a 4-star quarterback out of Lubbock, Texas.

As you can see below, Sawyer Robertson announced via Twitter that he’d be heading to Starkville next fall to play for the Bulldogs. Interestingly, he’ll be playing both football and baseball:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Robertson is the No. 9 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2021 and the No. 28 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

The Bulldogs now have 5 players in their 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 32 in the nation and No. 8 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
