A large outdoor video screen displayed Lebby, athletic director Zac Selmon, and president Mark Keenum walking through the hallway on their way to greet the fans eagerly awaiting outside.
Right as the men were walking outside, pillars of smoke shot out, making the entrance look like something out of the WWE. Lebby, Selmon, and Keenum were greeted by an excited crowd with the signature cowbells being heard ringing loudly.
There was even a celebratory fireworks show in Starkville to celebrate the hiring.

Lebby takes over the head job in Starkville after 2 seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Oklahoma Sooners. Lebby is also familiar with the state of Mississippi, having served as the OC for the Ole Miss Rebels from 2020-21. This will be Lebby’s first head coaching gig.
Lebby’s Sooners boasted the No. 4 total offense in the nation in 2023. For reference, Mississippi State had the No. 104 unit.
