Mississippi State’s roster continues to evolve as Mike Leach enters his second season in Starkville.

Redshirt freshman receiver Kyziah Pruitt officially entered the portal and becomes the eighth Bulldog to do so since the end of the 2020 season, according to a report from Paul Jones of Gene’s Page.

The 5-foot-10 and 205-pounder from Macon, Mississippi (Noxubee County) was a 3-star prospect and the No. 24 recruit in Mississippi that cycle according to 247Sports.

The roster appears to be as fluid as ever as Pruitt is the 17th Mississippi State player transferring from the program since the beginning of August. Since the end of the season, other Bulldogs transferring include receiver Dontea Jones, defensive back Korey Charles, defensive lineman Devon Robinson, running back Lee Witherspoon, offensive lineman James Jackson and kicker Jace Christmann.

Pruitt redshirted in 2019, but did not see any action during the 2020 season. He had a reported 12 offers coming out of high school when he was the No. 96 wide receiver in America in the Class of 2019. Indiana was his only other Power 5 offer at the time.
