Mississippi State reportedly targeting Oklahoma deputy AD as next Athletic Director

Mississippi State is reportedly targeting former Wake Forest Tight end and current Deputy AD at the University of Oklahoma Zac Selmon as its next Athletic Director, per SI’s Ross Dellenger.
The deal is not officially finalized, but Selmon is set to visit Starkville Thursday. if done, Selmon would become the first Black AD in Mississippi State’s history.

Selmon, who is 37, has been working with the Sooners since 2015. He would replace John Cohen, who left for Auburn’s AD job 2 months ago.
