Nick Fitzgerald extends invitation for bullied child to hang out with Mississippi State football team
On Saturday, a video made its way around Twitter of a child from Knoxville, Keaton Jones, discussing the bullying he’s faced at school.
The middle schooler discussed what has happened to him and said he knows he needs to stay strong and that it will get better.
As you can see in the heartbreaking video below, Jones gets emotional talking about what he’s gone through at school:
This is Keaton Jones. He is amazing. I hope those who bullied him get what’s coming to them. And soon. pic.twitter.com/qgRObI0rto

On Sunday morning, Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald reached out to Jones, saying the bullied child can come hang out with the Bulldogs any time he wants:
I’ll be your friend! You can come hangout with the whole team anytime you want! https://t.co/QJ4g8hWuZh

That comes on the heels of Tennessee players like WR Tyler Byrd and QB Jarrett Guarantano offering their support to Jones and saying they’ll visit his school:
We going to the middle school next Tuesday show young Man some love we will also TWITTER LIVE some of it so everyone can show there love and support #vols #StopBullying @cboystunna3 @BroadwayJay2 @JKShuttlesworth @smithtrey98

These are incredible gestures by the young athletes, who want to show Jones that he is not alone in the world.
Growing up is tough, and kids can be mean sometimes, but the message these football players are sending is an important one, and hopefully one that makes the bullies rethink their ways.
