The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot of roster decisions to make coming off a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

With the NFL league year beginning this week, the Eagles can start adjusting their roster and figuring out their salary numbers.

Unfortunately, former Mississippi State CB Darius Slay appears to be among the players who will be released by the Eagles this week:

Slay has been with the Eagles since 2020. He was the No. 36 overall pick in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, going to the Detroit Lions. He spent the 2013-19 seasons with the Lions before heading to Philadelphia.

In 2022, Slay played in 17 games in the regular season for the Eagles, recording 3 interceptions, 14 pass breakups and 55 total tackles.

Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but he’ll likely draw some attention in free agency if and when the Eagles make the decision to release him official.
