Mike Leach and the Mississippi State Bulldogs now have a full coaching staff, according to a report that surfaced on Saturday morning.

Per 247Sports, Leach is hiring former Texas assistant Jason Washington to be a part of the Bulldogs’ defensive staff.

Washington has spent several years working with Tom Herman, and the report details how great of a recruiter Washington has been in that time:

Washington is being hired after leaving the University of Texas where for the last three seasons he has coached cornerbacks as well as coordinated Longhorn recruiting. In fact was tabbed as the Big XII’s top recruiting coach in 2018 by 247Sports, besides producing all-league players in Austin.

Roles for Leach’s assistants have yet to be finalized, but this is the 10th and final on-field assistant spot that is being filled by Washington.

We’ll see what the roles for the defensive assistants end up being over the next few days, probably.
