Report: Mississippi State assistant interviews for open MAC job

The Mississippi State Bulldogs lost Mark Hudspeth off their staff this offseason, and now they could be losing another top assistant.
This time, it’s assistant head coach/run game coordinator Charles Huff who is being targeted for a head coaching vacancy.
As you can see in the tweet from Bruce Feldman below, Huff is in the mix for the open Akron head coaching job:

Huff was with Joe Moorhead at Penn State the past few years before moving on to Mississippi State when Moorhead got the job there.
Whether or not he lands the Akron job remains to be seen, but it seems as if he’s a solid contender since he’s already interviewed.
