Mississippi State centerfielder Rowdey Jordan isn’t ready for his season to come to an end.
After reaching on an error in the bottom of the first inning in a do-or-die, loser-goes-home super regional matchup against Notre Dame, Jordan came around to score, evening things up at 1-1.
Then, in the top of the second inning, Jordan recorded the third out of the frame on an incredible diving catch:

That got the fans at Dudy Noble Field excited, not that the raucous crowd needed much to stand and cheer.
The Bulldogs aren’t going down without a fight. Jordan has set the tone for his teammates. Now, we’ll see if Mississippi State can survive and advance to Omaha.
Jordan is truly doing it all on Monday night. In the bottom of the second inning, he hit into a fielder’s choice with the bases loaded that allowed a run to score and gave the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead. We’ll see if he has any more heroics in him.
