Dan Mullen continues to reassemble his defensive coaching staff.

According to Scout.com, Mississippi State will hire Brian Baker as its new defensive line coach. The news is expected to be made official either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Baker is the fourth defensive assistant hired this offseason along with Peter Sirmon (defensive coordinator and linebackers coach), Terrell Buckley (cornerbacks coach and recruiting coordinator) and Maurice Linguist (safeties coach).

Baker has spent the majority of his time coaching in the NFL ranks, having stints with the Chargers, Vikings, Lions, Rams, Panthers, Cowboys, Browns and most recently the Redskins.

He was out of coaching last season after serving as the outside linebackers coach with the Redskins for one season in 2014.
